Aruba CX 10000 Series Switch Workshop

The Aruba CX 10000 Series Switch represents an exciting new category of data center switch called Distributed Services (DSS) that combines best-of-breed Aruba CX data center L2/3 switching with the industry's first hardware-accelerated programmable processor (Pensando P4) that delivers stateful firewall services inline, at scale, with wire-rate performance and orders of magnitude improvement over traditional data center L2/3 switches.

This workshop allows participants the opportunity to configure a pair of these switches using a powerful API-driven, software-defined orchestration solution called Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC) and deploy policies synced with the Pensando Policy Services Manager (PSM).

In this workshop, participants will configure and validate the following:

  • Use Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC) to configure a simple Layer 3 datacenter fabric with Ethernet VPN (EVPN) – Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) and Symmetric Integrated Routing and Bridging (IRB)
  • Observe the integration between VMware® vSphere and configure the AMD® Pensando® Policy Service Manager (PSM)
  • Create, deploy, and test Aruba CX 10000 (10K) switch traffic flow policies
