Vandis’ Partnership with Island Harvest: Empowering Communities Through Service

The Vandis team returned to Island Harvest this summer for a day of service, demonstrating our commitment to uplifting our local Long Island communities.

Team members chose between two service programs. The first took place at Island Harvest’s food bank in Melville, NY. In less than four hours, the Vandis team helped package 1,120 boxes, filling 35 pallets, and ultimately providing 30,333 meals to Long Island seniors.

The second day was at the Island Harvest Farm in Brentwood, NY. Vandis team members spent the day weeding and harvesting various fruits and vegetables, all of which went directly to local food banks. The farm aims to harvest and distribute 20,000 pounds of food in 2025, but with just one full-time employee, they rely almost entirely on volunteers. Vandis is proud to participate in helping Island Harvest achieve their goal.
